    Summer T-Ball / T-ball de Verano

    The summer T-Ball program will be a great time for kids to learn the basic skills of throwing, catching, fielding, running bases, and hitting a ball. The program is for boys and girls, ages 4-6, who have not completed kindergarten. Emphasis will be placed on having fun and getting exercise. Parents, you are welcome to help our coaches with this group of little ones! In case of rain the program will be held in the Elementary gyms. Please register by May 24 to guarantee a t-shirt. El programa de verano T-Ball será un excelente momento para que los niños aprendan las habilidades básicas de lanzar, atrapar, fildear, correr bases y golpear una pelota. El programa está dirigido a niños y niñas de 4 a 6 años de edad que no hayan completado el jardín de infantes. Lessons are for children 5 and older. Private Lessons-25 minutes per day. 1:1 student:teacher ratio. Lessons are for children 4 and older. Swim lessons offered through Community Education are designed to teach participants lifelong swimming skills and provide training in basic water safety and how to help a swimmer in distress. In addition to the skills outlined under each level, swim lesson courses are intended to provide a positive learning experience so participants can feel comfortable and enjoy the water safely. Community Education swimming lessons are progressive, with each level building on skills, technique and endurance acquired as the levels advance. Please do not sign up for more than one level per child until they have passed their current level. Our instructors recommend time between lessons to build endurance and confidence in new skills. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. *Must wear a swim cap. Caps can be purchased at Coborn's in Melrose. They can be found in aisle F in the pharmacy and by register 3! Parents are invited to watch in the bleachers if they would like to. Please enter/drop off at door 13 by the auditorium for all swim lessons. Parents, please keep track your child's swim levels, you will receive a report card after each lesson!

  • Synchronized Swimming Camp / Campamento de acrobacias de natación sincronizada

    The Aquabelles invite you to explore the fantastic world of synchronized swimming! Interested in sync, but would like to try it out first? Been on the team before but would love some time in the pool to learn new or improve stunts? The Aquabelles coaches will work with all participants to introduce the sport to new participants and challenge returning team members. All participants will receive a special synchro nose clip. ¡Las Aquabelles te invitan a explorar el fantástico mundo de la natación sincronizada! ¿Está interesado en la sincronización, pero le gustaría probarla primero? ¿Has estado en el equipo antes pero te encantaría pasar un rato en la piscina para aprender nuevas acrobacias o mejorarlas?   • Tennis Camps/Tennis Camps/Campamento de Tenis

    Tennis camp will focus on teaching tennis techniques and strategies, building strength and endurance, improving agility and enhancing players' coordination and speed. If a student is interested in learning to play tennis, or considering joining the tennis team, this will be a great time to learn and start training. Register by June 31 to receive a t-shirt.   • Toddler Swim Time

    We have set the pool aside for parents and toddlers! The first night, Nathan Meyer, swim coach and long-time swim instructor, will join you to share some tips for getting your little one comfortable in the pool. Nights 2 and 3 will be your chance to enjoy pool time with your toddler. Lifeguard will be on duty. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. This course is only for people who reside in the Melrose district. *Limit 20 Ages 2-5, with a parent. If not potty trained, children must wear a swim diaper.
  • Track & Field Day 2024

    The Melrose Track Team is putting together a fun event where K-6th graders can come try out a couple events in track and field. Athletes will learn the basics of the events, then have an opportunity to test their speed, jumps and throws in a fun competition. Registration & warm ups begin at 2:00 pm with competition beginning at 3:00 pm.
  • Volleyball Gr 9-12, Open Gym/Skills / Voleibol Grado 9-12, Gimnasio abierto/Skills

    Volleyball Open Gym/Skills Training offered by the Melrose Volleyball Coaching staff for students going into grades 9-12. No fee will be charged for this class.
